Built in 1874, this project included the following conservation elements.

Paint Samples
Harvest paint samples and perform microscopic analysis to determine the original interior pigments of the ornamental plaster.

Documentation
Compile written documentation with Munsell/Restoration Associates Limited Custom Color Notation chips.

Duplicate Finishes
Duplicate all decorative finishes found on historic ornamental plaster. These decorative finishes consisted of applying 3 different glazes over a base pigment and highlighting ornamental plaster with gold mica powders.

Conservation
Perform conservation cleaning, conservation treatments and apply a conservators' consolidant to the Ark in th Sanctuary. The conservation treatments consisted of reattaching paint flakes by injections and reintegrating with the appropriate pigments where losses exist.
